A facemask is a loose fitting, disposable device that creates a physical barrier between the mouth and nose of the wearer and potential contaminants in the immediate environment. Facemasks are not to be shared and may be labeled as surgical, isolation, dental or medical procedure masks. They may come with or without a face shield.
Filtering facepiece (dust mask) means a negative pressure particulate respirator with a filter as an integral part of the facepiece or with the entire facepiece composed of the filtering medium.
All NIOSH approved respirators have an assigned protection factor (APF), which can range from 10 to 10,000. The APF is the workplace level of respiratory protection that a respirator or class of respirators is expected to provide to employees when the employer implements a continuing, effective respiratory protection program as specified by 29 CFR 1910.134.

Mar 24, 2020 · If your mask did its job and the virus is within the filter material its best that you obviously keep that away from your face and body but if you waited 48 72 hours before reusing the mask in theory the virus should be dead but I am not an expert in this Id rather you used the same mask over and over though than no mask at all!
